Manually apply discounts to line items in purchase orders
When applying costs and handling discounts in purchase orders, the new Apply manually to items option allows you to change the discount per line item, calculated based on the item quantity in the PO. This is particularly helpful when you need to reflect discounts on specific items in a purchase that don’t apply to all items or orders.
The experience has also been improved with the ability to isolate one or a subset of items from the purchase order to update unit cost by shipping fee or discount.

Improvements made to serialized items
As part of the improvements made to serialized items, you can now use serial numbers to search for work orders for faster reference and updates.
In addition, serialized vendor return packing slips can now be printed with the associated serial number so you can validate the correct item is being returned without having to unpack it.

Special orders and layaways via API
Special orders and layaways allow you to reserve inventory for customers to purchase at a later date, an especially useful tool for merchants using an eCommerce service. Previously, this feature was only available in Retail POS but is now also available via the API.

Sync shipments with Lightspeed Accounting
When Lightspeed Accounting settings are set to Sync each Shipment as a PO, a new feature on the record of shipment page in a purchase order in Retail POS enables the seamless synchronization of shipments with your accounting tool. Now, regardless if POs are fulfilled in one or multiple shipments, you can easily keep track of all inventory received.
