After activating your NuORDER and Retail POS (R-Series) integration, merchants ordering from bike brands will need to manually connect the brand to Retail POS to enable purchase order management between the two platforms.
Connecting bike brands to Retail POS
By connecting bicycle brands to Retail POS, you will be able to browse the most up to date catalogs, submit orders directly to the brand, and sync purchase orders with complete product data directly to Retail POS.
To complete this setup, you must have a pre-existing buying relationship with the bicycle brand and must enter your bike brand credentials during the setup process. If you don't have a buying relationship with a vendor, you must reach out to them directly to obtain credentials.
- If you haven't already done so, follow the steps in Activating the NuORDER and Retail POS integration article to ensure your accounts are properly linked.
- In Retail POS, navigate to NuORDER.
- Click the icon under Account dashboard to open the NuORDER portal.
- In the NuOrder portal side menu, click Settings > Lightspeed Retail.
- Click the bike brand you want to connect with.
- Click Link account.
- Confirm your details and Save and continue.
- Enter your brand login credentials. These credentials are different from your NuORDER or Retail POS login credentials and are obtained from the brand. If you have difficulty logging in, visit the brand website to change your password.
- Click Link account.
- Optionally, click View details to learn more or manage the integration.
You now have access to the brand's portal in NuORDER where you can browse and buy brand-specific products.
After you have linked the account to NuORDER, all orders must be placed through the portal in NuORDER.
Although orders must be placed through the brand portal, you can still manage your purchase orders through Retail POS. For more information refer to our Managing NuORDER purchase orders in Retail POS article.
