Publishing, filtering and deleting items in eCom

In your Retail account, you can:

  1. publish items to your eCom store.
  2. filter for items that are published to your eCom store.
  3. delete items from you eCom store.

Publishing items to eCom

A Retail account with eCom can publish up to 15,000 items to eCom and a maximum of 100 variants per matrix. These variants count towards the 15,000 items maximum. With the Automatically publish to eCom checkbox in Settings General Options, you can also set whether or not new Retail items are published to eCom automatically. Once in eCom, their online visibility is set to hidden by default. Your eCom subscription controls how many of them you can make visible. You can publish items to your eCom store from:

  • an item
  • the QUICK EDITS section

Publishing from an item

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory.
  2. Click the item description of an item you want to publish to eCom.
  3. From left menu section Details, select the Publish to eCom checkbox and click the blue Save Changes button.

    NOTE: Depending on if you've reached your publishing limit of items or your matrix limit of 100 variants, you will see the warnings below:

Publishing from the Quick Edits section

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory Quick Edits.
  2. From one of the drop-downs, select Publish to eCom and click the blue Search button.

  3. From the PUBLISH TO ECOM column, select your item's checkbox to publish it to your eCom store. You can also click the column header to group your published and unpublished items together.

    NOTE: Depending on if you've reached your publishing limit of items or your matrix limit of 100 variants, you will see the warnings below:

Filtering for items that are published to eCom

In your Retail account, you can filter your items to see which ones you have published to your eCom store. You can also see which ones you have not which is helpful for reviewing purposes in case you missed some.

You can filter for items that are published to your eCom store from:

  • the ITEM SEARCH section
  • the QUICK EDITS section

Filtering from the Item Search section

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory > Item Search.
  2. In the PUBLISH TO ECOM column, you will see a Yes or No depending on if your item has their Publish to eCom checkbox selected. You can also click the column header to sort them by these statuses.

  3. To filter only for items with a Yes, from the Advanced drop-down, select the Published to eCom checkbox. 

Filtering from the Quick Edits section

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory Quick Edits.
  2. From one of the drop-downs, select Publish to eCom and click the blue Search button.

  3. From the PUBLISH TO ECOM column, you will see the checkbox selected or unselected depending on if the items have been published to your eCom store or not. Click the column header to group your published and unpublished items together.

Deleting items from eCom

Certain product metadata exists only in eCom. This includes HTML product descriptions, search-engine metafields, product weight, dimensions and more. Clicking Delete from eCom in Retail deletes the product and its associated metadata in eCom.

You can delete items from your eCom store from:

  • an item
  • the QUICK EDITS section

Deleting from an item

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory.
  2. Click the item description of an item you want to publish to eCom.
  3. From left menu section Details, click Delete from eCom.

  4. Read the warning message and click I understand the consequences. Delete from eCom.

    NOTE: If you understand the warning, check Don't show this warning until next time I login to not see it again when you delete your next item from eCom. This will speed up the deleting process and the warning will only appear again the next time you log into your Retail account.

Deleting from the Quick Edits section

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory Quick Edits.
  2. From one of the drop-downs, select Publish to eCom and click the blue Search button.

  3. From the PUBLISH TO ECOM column, click your item's trash bin icon to delete it from your eCom store. You can also click the column header to group your published and unpublished items together.

  4. Read the warning message and click I understand the consequences. Delete from eCom.

    NOTE: If you understand the warning, check Don't show this warning until next time I login to not see it again when you delete your next item from eCom. This will speed up the deleting process and the warning will only appear again the next time you log into your Retail account.
