Logging into Retail POS on desktop
Before you can start your business day, you need to log in to your Lightspeed Retail account.
- On your computer, open your browser and navigate to the Retail POS login screen at https://www.lightspeedapp.com/.
- Enter your username and password.
- Click Sign in.
Merchants who have enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be prompted to enter an authentication code generated by the registered authentication app. For more information about logging in with MFA, refer to our Multi-factor authentication article.

Before starting to sell and logging in to the Retail POS app, it's important to prepare your iOS device. Once installed on your device, get ready to log in to the app with these steps:
- Open the Retail POS app.
- Enter your username and password.
- Tap Sign In.

- Click the employee name in the sidebar.
- Click Sign out.

Our Support team is able to confirm the primary email address associated with your Lightspeed Retail account after you have successfully passed an identity check. If you no longer have access to your primary email address, contact the Billing support team for assistance:

Resetting your password on desktop
- Click on the employee name in the side bar.
- Click Employee settings > Change password.
- Enter your current password and the new password.
- Click Change password.
Resetting your password on iPad
- Log out of Retail POS app.
- Click Recover password.
- Enter your email address and click Reset password. You will receive an email with a reset link.
- Click the reset link in the email and follow the instructions to reset your password.

You can update login credentials for your employees by logging in as the primary account user and navigating to Settings > Employee setup. Click on an employee profile and navigate to Sign in. Here you can reset the password or PIN for your employee.
