Printing receipts and reports using AirPrint on your iPad

In Lightspeed Retail POS, you can print full-page receipts and reports on a desktop printer using AirPrint. To be able to use AirPrint, ensure your desktop printer is compatible with AirPrint and that it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad. For further assistance with your specific desktop printer, contact your printer's manufacturer.

Once connected, you can:

  1. print receipts from the Sales History screen (POS mode).
  2. print reports from the Reports section (Retail Manager mode).

Printing receipts from the Sales History screen (POS mode)

  1. From the main menu, tap Sales History.

  2. Locate the sale by:
    • swiping down to manually search for the sale.
    • searching the Sale ID.
    • searching the customer's first and/or last name.
    • scanning a receipt barcode.
  3. Tap the sale to open it.
  4. Tap Receipt Options

  5. Choose one of the options below:
    • Print Full-Page Receipt
    • Print Full-Page Gift Receipt

  6. From the AirPrint prompt, modify the necessary options and tap Print:
    • Select your printer: choose a printer from the list of detected printers. The printer you select will be your default printer the next time you use AirPrint.
    • Copy: use the - or + buttons to control the number of copies.
    • Options: tap this option to toggle between single-sided and double-sided and control the page range.

Printing reports from the Reports section (Retail Manager mode)

  1. From the main menu, tap Retail Manager Reports.
  2. Select a report of your choice. For example, tap Totals.
  3. Use the available filters to include only your desired results.
  4. On the top right of the search results, tap Print.

  5. From the AirPrint prompt, modify the necessary options and tap Print:
    • Select your printer: choose a printer from the list of detected printers. The printer you select will be your default printer the next time you use AirPrint.
    • Copy: use the - or + buttons to control the number of copies.
    • Options: tap this option to toggle between single-sided or double-sided, control the page range and toggle between color or black and white.

    NOTE: You can print a maximum of 100 results at a time.
