Omnichannel retail refers to seamlessly integrating your Lightspeed Retail account and eCom (C-Series) store. Part of this experience is being able to manage and edit your eCom products both withing Retail POS and eCom (C-Series).
Editing products from Retail POS
General product information is synced from Retail POS to eCom.
To edit general product information in Retail POS:
- Navigate to Inventory > Item Search.
- Click on the product you wish to edit, using the search filters if necessary.
- Edit the desired information.
- Click Save Changes.
Your product information will be updated on Retail POS as well as in eCom (E-Series).
Manage and view products in eCom (C-Series)
You can access your eCom products from within Retail POS using the Manage online details and View in online store functions.
- Navigate to Inventory > Item Search.
- Click on the product you wish to manage and/or view, using the search filters if necessary.
- Scroll to the eCommerce (C-Series) section and select one of the following options:
- Manage Online Details: Using this button to directly access your product's online details is efficient and helpful in instances where a detail is controlled from your eCom back office. An example of a product detail that is managed from your eCom back office would be the Visible drop-down that controls if your product is visible to customers in your online store. For this button to be available, select the Publish to eCom checkbox and click Save Changes. If your Retail and eCom login credentials aren't the same, you will need to log into your eCom back office before being relayed to your product's online details. In the event that your Retail item needs more time to publish to your eCom back office, the following message will be displayed: The product cannot be found at the moment. Please try again shortly.

View in Online Store: You can use this button to view your product in your online store and make sure it is displaying to your customers as intended. For this button to be available and functional, check your Retail item's Publish to eCom checkbox and click Save Changes. Using the Manage Online Details button, select Always Visible or Visible when in stock from the Visible drop-down of your product's online details. If your Retail and eCom login credentials aren't the same, you will need to log into your eCom back office before viewing your product in your online store.
Merchants also integrated with eCommerce (C-Series), including those currently migrating, will see both the eCommerce (E-Series) and eCommerce (C-Series) sections.
