Hi. How can we help?

Setting up the WisePad 3 with Lightspeed Payments

The WisePad 3 is a small and portable Bluetooth card reader that empowers you to take card payments quickly and easily when paired with your iPad and Lightspeed Payments. It is capable of reading EMV-enabled cards and contactless NFC card tapping.

The hardware package you receive will contain:

  • The WisePad 3 payment terminal
  • A USB-C charging cable

Physical setup

The terminal will need to be fully charged and updated before it can be added to your Lightspeed account.

  1. To charge the terminal, plug the provided USB charging cable into the terminal and a power source. For best results, we recommend plugging the cable into a dedicated charging block into a wall outlet. Upon first use, the terminal will need to charge for at least 4 hours.
  2. If the terminal doesn't power on automatically when plugged in, press and hold the power button.
