The BBPOS Smart Terminal (WisePOS E) is quick and easy to set up with Lightspeed Payments. When you receive the terminal from Lightspeed, it will already be configured for your account, so all you will need to do is plug in and pair the terminal.
It is important that you only use the terminal supplied to you by Lightspeed, as any terminal obtained from a third party may not be correctly configured for your account and could present a security risk.
The terminal can either be set up via your Wi-Fi network or via an ethernet cable plugged into the supplied dock. In either case, the terminal will need to be on the same network as your Retail POS account.
What you'll need
- BBPOS Smart Terminal (WisePOS E)
- Power cable
- USB to USB-C cable

Setting up your Smart Terminal (WisePOS E)
To begin processing with Lightspeed Payments, the terminal will need to be powered on and updated. To set up the terminal:
- Open the back of the terminal by lifting up from the indentation at the bottom left-hand corner of the terminal.
- Insert the battery into the back of the terminal with the gold connectors aligned at the top of the device.
- Replace the back cover of the terminal.
- Plug the power cable into the port on the side of the terminal and connect the USB end to a powered USB port.
