Setting up local delivery methods in your eCom store allows you to offer customers in your area efficient and timely shipping options for their online purchases. When you add a local delivery option to your online store, it will be displayed at checkout alongside other shipping options, if applicable.
You can set shipping rules and customize local delivery areas on the map, limit delivery to certain times, offer delivery over a certain order total, adjust fees based on proximity, and specify accepted payment types. You can also connect your local delivery to a relevant outlet to process customer orders, meaning an item needs to be in stock at the customer's local outlet to qualify for local delivery.
Lightspeed does not manage delivery. You will need to manage your local deliveries or work with a delivery service in your area.
