Hi. How can we help?

Release notes for Jan 17 - Jan 28

Lightspeed Retail POS (Web)

Update: We added a Financial Services section to the Retail Settings where users can learn more about Lightspeed Capital and reach out for additional information.

Update: We added a new permission for users to control access to the newly added Financial Services section.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the PO screen jumped to the top when the user made changes to items.

Bug fix: We fixed a register issue where the in-line quantity didn’t change when the user manually changed an item's quantity sold when using the Advanced Discount Rules.

Bug fix: We fixed a register issue where the item search field didn’t stay selected when Advanced Discount Rules was enabled.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue when pressing Enter or scanning another item didn’t bring up the item search screen or add an item when Advanced Discount Rules was enabled.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where voiding a sale of a gift card purchase did not remove the balance on the gift card.

Bug fix: We now verify that gift cards are active before adding to sales.

Lightspeed eCom

Update: We now enforce HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) for all eCom shops. This will eliminate any security risks posed to old browser versions connecting to merchants’ webshops.

Bug fix: We now validate email address format for online gift card purchases.

Bug fix: We now issue gift cards only when they are both invoiced and paid for.

Bug fix: We now return the balance to all cards redeemed when the order is canceled.

Bug fix: We now validate that blog article titles are unique within blogs, avoiding situations where duplicate blog titles only displayed the first article on the storefront.

Lightspeed Analytics

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where quantities erroneously showed double/triple the expected value.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where Outlook remained unavailable when saving goals.

Lightspeed Loyalty

Bug fix: We fixed an issue with our URL shortener service that is used when automated SMS notifications are sent from the product to customers for (1) enrollment into Loyalty and (2) when they are eligible for a new reward. The issue was causing some of the URLs sent in SMS messages to be formatted incorrectly, creating a broken link.
