Setting up a Worldline Yoximo terminal on your iPad

The Worldline Yoximo is an EMV-enabled payment terminal compatible with Worldline payment processing in the Lightspeed Retail app for iOS.

Physical Setup

  1. On the back of the terminal, put the privacy shield in the upright position and remove the battery cover by pressing with your thumb on its top to release it, then slide it backward.

  2. Position the battery with the label facing upwards and the battery contacts facing forwards.
  3. Lower the battery into the socket carefully.

  4. The battery clicks into place once fully inserted. 
  5. Put the battery cover back by placing it on the terminal and sliding it forwards until you hear a click.

  6. Plug the power cable from the AC adaptor into the socket on the left-hand side of the terminal.

  7. Connect the AC adaptor to a wall socket and wait for the terminal's keypad backlight and display to light up. This initial powering-on sequence can take up to five minutes.

Inserting a paper roll

  1. On the terminal, put your fingers on the notches at both the left and right-hand sides of the printer cover, then pull the cover open.

  2. Take a paper roll and unroll about 5 centimeters of it.
  3. Insert the paper as shown on the sticker inside the printer compartment. When inserting a paper roll, make sure that:

    • the paper holder is empty
    • the paper is not cracked, wrinkled or sealed
    • the paper comes out straight
  4. Close the printer cover. Press firmly until you hear a click.

Configuring the Worldline gateway on your iPad

  1. Log in to Lightspeed Retail with your administrator credentials.
  2. Tap Retail Manager at the bottom right of the screen to open the Manager tab.

  3. From the Manager tab, tap Settings > Payment Processing.
  4. Tap + Add Payment Gateway.

  5. From the Select Gateway drop-down menu, select Worldline
  6. The options for the gateway will now display.

  7. If you have a multi-store account, under Select Shops, select all locations that will use the gateway.
  8. Under Security Options, toggle Allow Credits if you want to refund to a customer’s present card without an original receipt.
  9. Tap Save.
  10. Tap Done to return to the Manager screen.

Configuring the Worldline Yoximo payment terminal settings

Before the terminal can be added to your Lightspeed Retail account, it needs to be configured to accept payments. 

Checking the TSR version of your Yoximo Worldline terminal

Once the terminal is powered on, you can check for available updates. The Worldline Yoximo terminal must be running TSR version 14.06.02 or later to be supported with Lightspeed Retail. To check the software version of your terminal:

  1. Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
  2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
  3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
  4. Press 9 (Technician only).
  5. Enter the Technician only password: 1235789
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press 3 (Packages ticket).
  8. The screen will display the TSR version installed on your terminal. The Worldline Yoximo terminal must be running TSR version 14.06.02 or later to be supported with Lightspeed Retail.

Note: If your terminal requires an update, contact Worldline.

Configuring the ECR protocol

To process credit card payments with your Worldline Yoximo payment terminal, you will need to configure the ECR settings. 

  1. Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
  2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
  3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
  4. Press 9 (Technician only).
  5. Enter the Technician only password: 1235789.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press 4 (Hardware settings).
  8. Press 2 (ECR Protocol).
  9. Check the ECR Protocol. If it is not set as CTEP, press Change at the top right.
  10. Press 9 (CTEP).
  11. Press OK.
  12. Press Stop until you have returned to the home screen.

Establishing the ECR Physical configuration

  1.  Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
  2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
  3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
  4. Press 9 (Technician only).
  5. Enter the Technician only password: 1235789.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press 4 (Hardware settings).
  8. Press 9 (ECR Physical Configuration).
  9. Press Change.
  10. Press 2 (TCP/IP).
  11. Press Stop until you have returned to the home screen.
    Note: The terminal may reboot after this procedure. 

Adding the Worldline Yoximo payment terminal to your network

  1.  Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
  2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
  3. Press 5 (Wireless settings).
  4. Enter the Merchant password.
    Note: This is typically the last four digits of the terminal ID and can be found on the bottom of the terminal. You can also find the terminal ID via the Maintenance menu:
    1. Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
    2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
    3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
    4. Press 9 (Technician only).
    5. Enter the Technician only password: 1235789.
    6. Press OK.
    7. Press 5 (Maintenance).
    8. Press 1 (Terminal ID).
  5. Press OK.
  6. Press 1 (WLAN Settings).
  7. Press 2 (Add WLAN).
  8. Press 2 (Scan).
  9. The terminal will display a list of available wireless networks. Select your network.
  10. Press OK.
  11. Select ASCII.
  12. Press OK.
  13. Enter your WLAN key/Wi-FI password.
    To enter text, press the Menu button  (once for lowercase letters, twice for capital letters). For special characters, press Menu, then 1.
  14. Enter a priority for the network. The terminal will select the network with the highest priority at startup. In this case, zero (0) is the highest priority.
  15. Press OK. The terminal will display a confirmation that the WLAN has been added.

Adding the terminal in Lightspeed Retail 

Obtaining your iPad’s IP address

Before setup with your terminal can be completed, your iPad will need to be added to your terminal’s list of accepted devices. First, you will need your iPad’s IP address.

  1. On your iPad, Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the information button.
  3. Record the IP address exactly as it appears.

Adding your iPad to the Yoximo payment terminal

  1. Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
  2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
  3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
  4. Press 3 (Merchant Settings).
  5. Enter the Merchant password.
    Note: This is typically the last four digits of the terminal ID and can be found on the bottom of the terminal. You can also find the terminal ID via the Maintenance menu:
    1. Press Stop > OK > Menu to access the Terminal menu.
    2. Press 3 (Terminal Setup).
    3. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
    4. Press 9 (Technician only).
    5. Enter the Technician only password: 1235789.
    6. Press OK.
    7. Press 5 (Maintenance).
    8. Press 1 (Terminal ID).
  6. Press 0 to select option 10 (Next).
  7. Press 1 (ECR Settings).
  8. Press 2 (Add an ECR Device).
  9. Enter a name for the terminal (e.g. “register 1”).
    To enter text, press the Menu button  (once for lowercase letters, twice for capital letters). For special characters, press Menu, then 1.
  10. Press OK
  11. Enter the Hostname (IP address) of your iPad. Instead of using a dot, press OK after each portion of the IP address value.
    For example, if your IP address is 192.160.0.123: 192 > OK > 168 > OK > 0 > OK > 123 > OK.
  12. On the empty screen named Hostname, press OK.
  13. Enter the port number: 9000
  14. Press OK. You should be taken back to the menu.

Adding the Yoximo payment terminal to your iPad

Now that the terminal has been properly configured and the Worldline gateway has been enabled in Lightspeed Retail, you can now add the terminal in Lightspeed Retail.

  1. Navigate to the Profile screen.

  3. Tap Add a payment terminal.
