Hi. How can we help?

Connecting Customer Facing Display without Lightspeed Hub

You can connect Customer Facing Display in many ways. The recommended setup for optimal performance is to connect a secondary display with the Lightspeed Hub desktop app. If for any reason this setup is not ideal for you, however, you can also connect a secondary display (e.g. monitor) or device (e.g. iPad) without the Lightspeed Hub app. You can do so in three different ways:

  1. Connect by opening a browser window
  2. Connect by opening a link on another device
  3. Connect by scanning a QR code on another device

Once connected using one of these three connection options, your secondary display shows the following sale details when making sales:

  1. Customer's first name (if setting enabled)
  2. Quantity
  3. Item
  4. Price
  5. Gift card (numbers not included)
  6. Work order (number and date and time ready)
  7. Discount amount
  8. Note
  9. Non-taxed items (if setting enabled)
  10. Tax (rate and total per rate)
  11. Subtotal
  12. Total

You can also configure your Customer Facing Display settings and branding to customize it further.

Connect by opening in a browser window

To connect Customer Facing by opening a new browser window, you first need to have your secondary display connected to your computer. Then, do the following on your primary display:

  1. Open Retail POS.
  2. On the main menu, select Devices.
  3. Next to Customer Facing Display, select Connect Use browser.

You should now see your shop's background and logo on a new browser window. The connection status light at the bottom-left of the screen should also be green and say connected if you click it. To make your browser window visible to your customers, drag it from your primary display to your secondary display. To hide the URL, maximize the browser window.

In Retail POS, you should see that your secondary display is connected. Next to Customer Facing Display, you should see a Settings button. Once you select it and configure your settings, you'll be ready to make sales and share them in real time with Customer Facing Display.
