Lightspeed Retail is currently available in:
- English
- French
- Dutch
- Spanish
Viewing your Retail account in one of the above languages is dependent on the language settings of your web browser or iPad.
Configuring your web browser's language setting
When accessing your Retail account from a web browser on your computer, the 4 languages are available in the language selector:
To enable the language selector in your Retail account, you need to set the language of your Firefox or Chrome to one of the above languages (except English). Once the language selector appears at the bottom right of your screen, you can instantly switch between the 4 languages at anytime.
- Open your Firefox.
- At the top right, click the menu button
> Preferences.
- From the Languages section, click Choose...
- From the Select a language to add... drop-down, select French, Dutch or Spanish and click Add.
- Highlight the language you added and click the Move Up button to move it to the top of the list.
- Click OK.
- Restart your Firefox and sign in to your Retail account.
- From the language selector at the bottom right of your screen, select your desired language.
- Open your Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
Settings.
- Scroll down and click Show advanced settings...
- Click Language and input settings...
- From the Languages window, click Add.
- From the drop-down, select French, Dutch or Spanish and click OK.
- Drag and drop the language you added to the top of the list and click Done.
- Restart your Chrome and sign in to your Retail account.
- From the language selector at the bottom right of your screen, select your desired language.
Configuring your iPad's language setting
When accessing your Retail account from the Retail Manager mode of your Retail POS app, the 4 languages are available in the language selector:
To enable the language selector in Retail Manager mode, you need to set your iPad Language setting to one of the above languages (except English). Once the language selector appears at the bottom right of your screen in Retail Manager mode, you can instantly switch between the 4 languages at anytime.
If you're accessing your Retail account from the POS mode of your Retail POS app, you can switch between the 4 languages at anytime by changing your iPad Language setting. Your language will change automatically once you open your Retail POS app.
- Open your Settings.
- Tap General > Language & Region > iPad Language.
- In the Search field, enter French, Dutch or Spanish.
- Select your desired language and tap Done > Continue.
- Once your iPad changes language, open your Retail POS app. The POS mode appears in your desired language automatically.
- To change the language in Retail Manager mode, select your desired language from the language selector at the bottom right of your screen.
