Using the event log in Retail POS (R-Series)

The event log can be used to monitor and maintain what is happening within your Retail POS account.

Accessing the event log

  1. Navigate to Settings and under the Advanced setup section, click Event log.

  2. Use the filters to locate an event log entry as required.

  3. Click the event log entry to expand for more detail.

Understanding the event log

Each event log records:

  • Date/time: The date and time the event occurred
  • Employee: The employee that initiated the event
  • Type and Category: Classifications of the event
  • Event: A description of what the event is
  • Sale ID: An associated sales ID with redirect (where applicable)
  • Register: The register used to action the event
  • View details: Additional information related to the event
