You can change the inventory level for an individual item, for example, if you receive the wrong amount of stock on a purchase order.
-
From the main menu, navigate to Inventory > Item Search.
-
Use the filters to search for the item you want to change the inventory level of, or navigate to the item in the list.
- Click the item name.
-
From the side menu on the page, select the Inventory section.
-
You can either navigate to the Add Inventory section and enter the updated number in your inventory, or, in the Remaining field, change the number of items remaining in stock.
If you enter the number of items in both fields, both will be added to the available inventory.
- Click + Add Inventory.
A pop-up displays to confirm the inventory has been updated. In the Location Inventories table, the number of items in the Available column will be updated.
To change the inventory level for several items, complete a partial or full inventory count.
You can also edit the cost you receive the item at. Some examples of why you would edit the price are:
- You might have the item at 0.00 if you haven't added a price for the item yet.
- You might be receiving this item at a different cost than you normally do from the vendor, and you didn't enter the new price on the purchase order.
- The vendor may have given you a discount.
In the Cost field, enter the correct amount for the item.
