Changing passwords and PINs

You can change the password and PIN you use to log into Lightspeed Retail.

To change your password or PIN

  1. From the main menu, click your name and then click Employee Settings.
  2. Click Change Password or Change PIN.
  3. Enter your new and current password or PIN.
  4. Click Change Password or Change PIN.

To change employee PINs

You can change an employee's PIN on the fly if they forget it. Only people with admin access privileges can change PINs. Admins can change their own pin, for example weekly or monthly for security purposes.

  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Employee Setup. The current active employee accounts are listed.

    NOTE: To view archived employee accounts, click Show Archived > Search.

  2. To change an employee’s access PIN, enter it in the Access PIN field.
