You can use Lightspeed Retail's built-in Time Clock module to help track your employees' hours. Activating the module will allow them to clock in and out at the beginning and end of their shifts, respectively.
To activate the Time Clock module:
- Navigate to Settings > Optional Modules.
- Toggle the Time Clock module on.
- Click Save Changes.
Once the module is activated, you can clock your employees in and out even if they are not present, so long as you have the Employee Setup permission:
- From the main menu, click Settings > Employee Setup. The current active employee accounts are listed.
NOTE: To view archived employee accounts, enable Show Archived, and then click Search.
- An employee is clocked out if there is no start time for the employee. To clock an employee in, press the clock icon. If the employee is already clocked in, a start time is listed for the employee. To clock the employee out press the clock icon.
Your employees can also clock themselves in and out using their PIN. There will be an / button next to the name of the currently logged-in employee which will bring up the Clock In/Out page.
An employee can enter their PIN and click Clock In/Out to clock in if they are clocked out, or clock out if they are clocked in. The timer next to the button indicates how long that employee has been clocked in for.
You can review your employee's logged hours by navigating to Reports > Total Hours and see and edit the times at which they clocked in and out by navigating to Reports > Clock Entries.
