Lightspeed Hub is a desktop application that allows Retail POS to connect to supported printers and Customer Facing Displays (CFD) on the same local network.
If Hub can't locate your printer during the setup process, you can manually search by the printer's IP address to establish a connection.
Finding your printer's IP address
To find your Epson printer's IP address:
- Turn off the printer.
- Turn your printer back on. Your printer’s IP address will print shortly after.
To find your Star or Zebra printer's IP address:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the FEED button.
- While holding the FEED button, turn your receipt printer back on.
Your printer’s network configuration report, including IP address, will start printing. Only release the FEED button once the printing is in progress.
Connect your receipt printer to Hub by IP address
To connect your printer to Hub using its IP address:
- Open Lightspeed Hub.
- Under Receipt printer or Label printer, select Connect.
- Select the connection type.
- Follow the setup instructions.
-
Click Search for printers by IP address.
- Select the printer's brand from the dropdown.

- The printer is connected to a power source.

- Your network connection is strong and stable.
- Click Connect next to the printer's name.
Your printer will now display as Ready in both Hub and Retail POS.
