The event log can be used to monitor and maintain what is happening within your Retail POS account.
Accessing the event log
To access the event log, navigate to Settings > Event log.
Here, you'll see a list of previous events.
You can use the filters to see a range of entries or locate a specific entry.
Understanding the event log
Columns
The following columns are present in each event log:
- ID: The individual ID number of the event, automatically generated by Retail POS.
- Date/time: The date and time the event occurred.
- Employee: The employee who initiated the event.
- Type: Type of event, categorized as login or log.

Category: Category of event. Categories include:

- Register
- Sale
- Settings
- Shop
- Event: A description of the event. See below for a list of events.
- Sale ID: The associated sales ID for an event action, when applicable. Click the ID number to be redirected to the sale's Details page.
- Shop: Multi-location accounts will show which location actioned the event.
- Register: The register used to action the event.
- Form: The form the event took, automatically assigned by Retail POS.
- View details: Click this to see additional information related to the event, including the IP address where the event was actioned.
