  5. Turn on your printer.

The power LED light will stop blinking and become solid once your printer is ready.

Insert a paper roll

  1. To open the printer's cover, push the lever on the right-hand side of the cover away from you and lift the cover upwards.
  2. Insert the paper roll in the following orientation. While doing so, make sure the paper roll stays taut and doesn't unroll.

Before you add your printer to Retail POS, make sure your iPad is connected to the same network as your printer.

Once both your iPad and your printer are on the same network, Retail POS will list all the printers that it finds on your network. This way, you can easily add your printer from the Profile screen. If your printer isn't on the list, however, you can add it manually by entering its IP address.

Add your printer from a list of printers on your network

  1. On your iPad, open Retail POS.
  2. On the Profile screen, under Devices, tap Receipt printer.

  3. Tap Add printer.

  4. Under Printers on your network, tap your Epson TM-m10 printer. It could take a few seconds for it to appear.
  5. Optionally, enable Automatically print receipt switch if you want receipts to print automatically when you complete a sale or refund. Alternatively, leave it disabled if you want to print receipts manually.
  6. Tap Done. Your printer will display as Connected on the Profile screen.

Add your printer manually

To add your printer manually, you need your receipt printer's IP address. It should have printed when you connected your printer.

If you need to print your IP address again, start by powering off your printer. Then while pressing and holding the Feed button, power the printer back on until your IP address prints. This usually takes a few seconds.

Once you have your printer's IP address, add it manually:

  1. On your iPad, open Retail POS.
  2. On the Profile screen, under Devices, tap Receipt printer.receiptprinter__2_.png
  3. Tap Add printer.addprinter__1___1_.png
  4. Tap Epson TM-m10.
  5. Enter your printer's name and IP address and tap Add.R-series-add-printer.png
  6. Optionally, enable Automatically print receipt switch if you want receipts to print automatically when you complete a sale or refund. Alternatively, leave it disabled if you want to print receipts manually at the end of a sale or refund.
  7. Tap Done. Your printer will display as Connected on the Profile screen.

Print a test receipt

  1. On the Sales screen, tap a completed sale.
  2. On the Details panel, tap Print receipt > Print receipt.

Your printer will now print a test receipt, confirming it's connected to Retail POS and ready to use.
