3. Calibrate your printer

For your label printer to recognize the size of your labels, you need to calibrate it. This will make sure that your labels will print correctly. To do so, hold down the pause and cancel buttons for two seconds and release. The printer will measure and feed a few blank labels.

Note: Calibrating your label printer is only necessary when you insert a new label roll of a different size. If you insert a new label roll of the same size, your printer will remember the settings from the calibration you did with the initial label roll. You can also quickly press the feed button (middle button) twice before printing. This will make sure that they're correctly aligned and ready to print.

5. Print labels

Now that you've connected your printer, calibrated it and installed Zebra Browser Print, print three labels to test if your printer is working as it should. We recommend printing three labels before printing a larger label queue to avoid wasting labels should they print misaligned.

To print labels:

  1. From the main menu, click Inventory > Item Search.
  2. Click an item you want to print labels for.
  3. From the Details submenu, click Print Label.
  4. From the print modal, select your printer.
Note: Your printer's name is based on its serial number. If you don't know your printer's serial number, check the sticker underneath your printer.
  5. Select the label size that matches your label roll.

    2019_2578_LabelRolls.jpg

    Normal Small Alternative Jewelry
    2.25 in x 1.25 in 1.25 in x 1.00 in 2.00 in x 1.00 in 2.20 in x 0.50 in
Note: If you're not sure of the size of your label roll, you can also select a label size from the drop-down. The illustration in the modal will reflect the appearance of the label size you selected. This way, you can match your selection in the modal to your label roll.
  6. Enter a quantity of 3.
  7. Click Print.

Your label printer should print three perfectly aligned labels.
