Unboxing your RACS iPad bundle

Your RACS iPad bundle contains everything you need to start selling with Lightspeed Retail and ignite your business. The bundle is also compliant with the Retail Access Control Standards (RACS) program, by including devices that support register rules. Register rules allow you to enforce sales restrictions, such as age verifications and quantity limits, on certain items in your store.


Your RACS iPad bundle includes the following hardware (by default):


  • iPad and stand
  • Receipt printer
  • Cash drawer
  • Barcode scanner


Optionally, it can also include the following add-ons (if you purchased them):


  • Zebra ZD410 label printer
  • Label rolls
  • Receipt paper rolls


Note: This section of the Help Center will show you how to set up the devices that are included in the RACS iPad bundle by default. If you've customized your bundle and need setup instructions on add-ons (e.g. Zebra ZD410) or other devices that aren't included in the bundles by default, please see Supported Hardware.

Before you begin

Make sure you have access to a network connection. You'll need it to sign in to Lightspeed Retail and connect your devices.


Done setting up?

Make a sale to test if your RACS iPad bundle is working as it should. Afterward, void the sale to remove it from your reports. We recommend doing this at the start of every business day before you open your store to customers.
