Hi. How can we help?

Changing your Zebra ZD410 printer driver on Windows

The below steps are adaptable to the discontinued Zebra LP2824 Plus. We've added notes where steps differ significantly.

Your Zebra ZD410 requires a ZPL or EPL printer driver depending on your label size:

  • Normal, alternative, and small labels: require the EPL printer driver.
  • Jewelry labels: require the ZPL printer driver.

In most cases, the Zebra ZD410 installs automatically with the ZPL driver. To change the driver from ZPL to EPL, follow the steps below:

  1. To open your Control Panel, click the Windows Start Menu > Control Panel.

NOTE: If you are using a Windows 8 or 10 version, right click the Windows Start Menu instead of doing a left click.

  2. From the Hardware and Sound section, click View devices and printers

  3. From the Printers section, right click your ZDesigner ZD410-203dpi ZPL.
  4. Click Printer properties.

  5. From the ADVANCED tab, click New driver.

  6. From the Add Printer Driver Wizard window, click Next.
  7. Select the following:
    • Manufacturer: ZDesigner
    • Printers: ZDesigner ZD410-203dpi EPL

  8. Click Next > Finish.
  9. In the Printer Properties window, click OK
  10. Right click your ZDesigner ZD410-203dpi EPL.

NOTE: If you are using the discontinued LP2824 Plus, click on your model's EPL driver.

  11. Click Printer properties.

  12. From the PRINTER SETTINGS tab, verify that the Always use drivers settings checkbox is checked.

  13. Click OK.
  14. Close your Devices and Printers window. Your Zebra ZD410 should now be using the EPL driver.

NOTE: If you are changing the driver from ZPL to EPL, your labels will be formatted correctly however they could print upside down.
