Locking the Retail POS app on your iPad

You can quickly switch users by entering your user access PIN on the lock screen. You can also use the PIN lock screen to ensure that the correct employee is logged in for each sale by setting Lightspeed Retail to require a PIN before each sale. When Lightspeed Retail POS is locked, a user must enter a valid user access PIN to log in to their account. You can set the app to be locked manually or to lock automatically after a specified amount of time or before every sale.

To manually lock the POS app

From the Main Menu, tap Lock.

To set automatic locking

You can set Lightspeed Retail to lock automatically after a specified amount of time (Auto Logout Delay option), or before every sale (Require PIN Before Each Sale option), by selecting the option from the GENERAL OPTIONS in the Lightspeed Retail Web Interface or in Lightspeed Retail POS Retail Manager mode (see About POS and Manager modes).
