Fixing errors when importing item images

To import inventory items via our Retail Imports team, please refer to this article.

When you upload your item images files to your Retail POS account, your account starts reviewing them for errors. If there are any errors in your image files, your account displays a red error message that includes the number of failed images.

To fix them, click the red error message. The specific filename and the reason it was skipped in the upload queue display.

Below are all the possible errors:

  • File type not supported. Images can be in JPG or PNG format.
  • File exceeds 8MB.
  • File doesn't match any of the expected images.
  • File with name [filename] was already uploaded.
  • Filename exceeds 250 characters.

Once you've fixed the errors with your image files, click Back and try importing them again. If they upload successfully, click Done to close the modal. The number of expected images will update to reflect the remaining amount in your import file.
